  • The GapVax VHE is a hydro excavator also known as a hydrovac. High pressure water jets break up soil to create a slurry and a powerful vacuum will suck up the liquid allowing for safe, precise digging around underground utilities like pipes or for other jobs like potholing, trenching and daylighting. This method is less destructive and faster than using a traditional excavator or shovels, reducing the risk of utility strikes and environmental impact.

  • The VHE features a combined corrosion-resistant stainless steel debris and water tank which provide unmatched durability. The high-performance vacuum system, and a precision water system are engineered specifically for hydro-excavation. Its reach, capacity, and reliability make it a top choice for demanding field work.

  • Utility contractors, municipal agencies, industrial service providers, and construction crews regularly choose the VHE for its reliability and performance in hydro-excavation tasks.

  • Most GapVax VHE units feature a 12 cubic yard debris tank and up to 2000 gallon water tank. Custom configurations are available depending on your project needs.

  • The GapVax VHE features a 4,000 CFM and 27″ Hg PD blower.

  • The GapVax VHE has enclosed and heated compartments allowing operation of the truck year-round. The 2026 Model includes a new heated man cabinet for the comfort of the operator.

  • The standard boom on the GapVax VHE is 8” and extends up to 26 feet with a 180° rotation, allowing operators to vacuum hard-to-reach areas without repositioning the truck.
